     Sarah A. Harless was born circa 1838 in Virginia. She was the daughter of Aaron Harless and Margaret Harless. Sarah A. Harless married Thomas C. Cumby 7 August 1854.

     Amanda Melvina Harless was born circa 1840 in Giles County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Aaron Harless and Margaret Harless. Amanda Melvina Harless married James A. Woodyard, son of James G. Woodyard and Mary Margaret Tade, 19 September 1860 in Giles County, Virginia.

     Amanda Melvina Harless died 28 September 1916 in Roanoke, Virginia.
